Summer Solstice

Monday the 21st is the 24th solar term, "Summer Solstice". This is the middle of the period between Rising summer and Rise-autumn, and according to the calendar, it is the height of summer.


The summer solstice is the day of the year when the sun rises the highest in the sky and the daytime hours are the longest. Compared to the Winter Solstice, which has the shortest daytime, there is a difference of about five hours in Tokyo and other cities.
